At our Abingdon, VA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D's Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D's Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D's was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

The staff were very kind and patient. Restaurant was average for a chain as far as the environment and cleanliness. The food was good for fast food, similar to others serving mainly fried seafood....

I had went to Captain D's drove thru I always order for a elder adult on seniors days. The cashier told me to wait I did. When he came on said if you on the phone I can not take your order go...

This is just way below average. I see others seem to enjoy it, but I did not. I don't think seafood should be served fast food style I guess, so perhaps that is my fault for not enjoying it.

Came in after six and the dining room was closed. I was staying at the hotel right behind the restaurant. When I told the lady I had to get my car so I can go through the drive way she welcomed me...
