Capitol Awning started in Richmond back in 1930. We are and have always been a Richmond Family Owned Business. We maintain a custom sewing operation in Richmond that includes tried and true sewing machines along with the newest high tech fabric welders. Capitol Awning is unique in Richmond because we weld our own frames, sew and weld our own covers, and do our own installation. No subcontractors are ever involved. In fact we sew and build awnings for contractors in Raleigh, Washington DC, and Norfolk / Newport News.We have a long and proud history of serving Richmond, Charlottesville, Fredericksburg, Hopewell, and the rest of central Virginia. Our lead installation technical began working at Capitol in 1967. If that seems like a long time, our sewing room manager started working for Capitol in 1958. That level of loyalty and commitment shows how highly we value craftsmanship and customer service.We treasure the long term relationships that we have with many of our customers and we hope to form that same relationship with you. In fact, we hope to still count you as a customer when we celebrate our 100th year in business in 2030.
