Bryce Resort is a mountain hideaway. It began as a summer retreat called Bryce s Mountain Resort in 1909. It is one of the few member-owned resorts in Virginia, organized for the recreational and social pleasures of its members. It is a non-stock corporation directed by a seven-member board of directors. The golf, snow sports and Lake Laura activities and facilities are open to the public, but its members enjoy additional benefits and amenities. The resort has a branch of the Shenandoah County Library as well as a private airport. It is spread over 400 acres in Basye, on the eastern side of Great North Mountain.

We came here for the ice skating and snow tubing. Ice skating was not busy at all and they have lot of blue walker thing for kids to learn how to skate. It's also $8 if you buy tubing ticket....
