Our mission is Preservation through Education - to educate about the history and advocate for the preservation of the extraordinary history, culture and scenery in the Northern Virginia Piedmont for future generations to enjoy. We offer a wide range of programs and services, including Classroom Programs for 4th Grade Virginia Studies and 11th Grade U.S. History. We reach more than 4, 000 students every year. We offer family oriented interpretive programs, field trips, a lecture series and an annual Civil War Conference with the nation's top scholars in the field. We also provide speakers to groups interested in Virginia history. All our educational programs and events are financed with membership fees and donations. Mosby Heritage Area Association is a non-profit 501 ( c ) and all donations are tax deductible. Our strength is in our membership and we depend on your support to accomplish our goals. A.Team is a professional network for A-Talent to connect and form full-stack teams. It is powered by an invite-only professional network of top independent product builders. Its aim is to help companies keep up and thrive during today's digital disruptions. A.Team was designed to help companies adapt agilely and build tech in areas outside of their core competencies to pivot their product and adapt new methods of monetization.

More than 50% of the land is set aside for common areas. Newington Forest has a 25 meter swimming pool, a community center, six tennis courts, 13 tot lots, three basketball courts, one ball field, five miles of hiker-biker trails, and last but not least, our own elementary school! Newington Forest Community Association Newington Forest Community Association ( NFCA ) is like a small city run almost entirely by volunteers. Every owner and resident is a member of the NFCA. The Association and all residents are governed by the Covenants and By-Laws contained in Newington Forest Community Association Governing Documents "Green Book". You should have received a copy at closing ; however, additional copies are available at the community center for reference. The Association is run by a seven member Board of Directors. The Association maintains the common grounds and streets in our community, enforces the Covenants and By-Laws ; maintains and operates recreational facilities ; provides services such as trash and snow removal ; and preserves and protects the property values of our community. The members of the Board are elected to one year terms at the annual meeting each February. The names and phone numbers of the current Board members and committee chairman are listed in each issue of the Newsletter distributed every other month. The community manager handles many of the daily operations of the community. The office hours are 9 AM - 1 PM Monday through Friday.
