Good sermon (from a visiting minister), friendly congregation and good music. I just visited once (when in town on a business trip) and liked it. For the believer, though, the question should be...

Blacksburg United Methodist Church continues to celebrate a partnership ministry with the people of Spring of Life United Methodist Church in Kiev. It is an emerging Christian community in a part of the world dominated by communism for decades. We are excited about what God is doing in Kiev. Our congregation recently provided the people of Spring of Life United Methodist Church with a van. At this time, the congregation does not have a permenant home; however, we intend to work with our sisters and brothers there to insure that they have a place of worship. They are grateful for the gift of the van and Pastor Vladimir Khabryko, sent this letter of gratitude:Our dream has come true - we have purchased a wonderful mini-van for our church! We cannot stop thanking our Lord for giving us such wonderful friends! In today's world, when everybody is focused on oneself, having such friends is a very rare thing. And while we cannot repay you financially we want you to know that we will provide you with our life-long prayer support. The Lord has been gracious in answering our prayers often so we do not doubt that it is a great force. Whatever is impossible to man is possible to God. When Jesus told Peter to thrown his net at a very unlikely time, Peter obeyed just out of respect to his teacher. The result was overwhelming - his net burst out with the weight of the fish he'd caught. Isn't it a miracle that during the economic crisis when people lose jobs, churches suffer material losses but we receive such a generous gift from you! The Lord is the same at all times, He takes very good care of His children no matter what their circumstances are. And I don't know what is a greater miracle -the van we bought or the friendship that has developed between people living in the opposite corners of the earth!"We know what is the greater miracle and we believe God will work other miracles throughout our relationship together!
