Big Blue 5K

Big Blue 5K, presented by Bon Secours, is an annual race that offers participants a unique opportunity to explore the scenic Old Dominion University campus in Norfolk, VA. The 5K course takes runners through the campus and culminates with a thrilling finish on the 50-yard line of the Kornblau Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium. After crossing the finish line, participants can join the lively Post Race Tailgate Party to celebrate their achievement with live music, beer, and food.

In addition to the 5K race, Big Blue also offers the Big Blue 1K, a special race designed for children aged 12 and under. Young runners get to experience the excitement of crossing the same finish line as the 5K participants, fostering a love for running at an early age. The event supports the Old Dominion Athletic Foundation (ODAF), which plays a crucial role in the success of Old Dominion University Athletics by partnering with coaches and student-athletes to advance the athletics program.
