Since 1972, Chesapeake Humane Society has been working to promote the welfare of companion animals in Hampton Roads. Every year, CHS cares for more than 8,000 companion animals through our CARE Clinic, offering low-cost spay and neuter surgeries, vaccines, micro-chipping and dental services. We also help hundreds of pets find their forever homes through our adoption program and we never put a time limit on how long pets in our care remain available for adoption. We do put our hearts into every animal, providing everything they need -- a safe refuge, medical care, and ultimately, the loving home they deserve. Our vision is to help pets and the people who love them find each other and stay together.
