Bark + Boarding is a family-owned and operated, full service pet care company providing dog training and daycare, walking, pet taxi services, retail products, grooming, and in-home pet care for dogs and cats. Founded in 1999 as an in-home pet sitting company, Dog Paws n Cat Claws was purchased in 2004 by Ryan Fochler, who started his career at the company as a pet sitter and was later promoted to manager. After the purchase, Ryan expanded the company's services to include dog daycare, boarding, grooming, training, and retail products and in April 2017 underwent a major renovation to bring you Bark + Boarding. Our mission at Bark + Boarding is to provide a safe and supportive environment for pets and their owners. We take pride in developing long-term relationships with our clients and strongly believe that your pet is not just our priority--but a part of our family! And speaking of family, we are especially proud of our staff, which over the years has grown to over 50 trained pet care professionals serving clients in the Washington, DC area. In recognition of our commitment to having employees feel inspired, and given the room to do great things, Bark + Boarding was recently honored by being named as one of The Washington Post's 2015 & 2016 Top Workplaces.
