Arlington House, also known as the Robert E. Lee Memorial, serves as a national memorial dedicated to Robert E. Lee, honoring his contributions to peace and reunion following the Civil War. It stands as a place for study and contemplation, addressing complex themes in American history such as military service, sacrifice, citizenship, duty, loyalty, slavery, and freedom.

The site also emphasizes the importance of telling the complete story of its history, including the experiences of enslaved individuals associated with the estate. Through various exhibits and educational initiatives, Arlington House aims to foster a deeper understanding of these significant historical narratives.

This house is located inside the Arlington cemetery. This is a former home of the confederate general Robert E. Lee. It is now a museum. It's an interesting place to visit.
