Founded in 1920, the American Society of Association Executives is a nonprofit professional organization for executive directors and vice presidents of professional societies in the United States. It has more than 22,000 association chief executive officers, staff professionals, industry partners and consultant members. The association serves approximately 10,000 organizations that represent over 285 million people. The American Society of Association Executives sponsors the Certified Association Executive professional certification program.
