Founded in 1940, Annandale Volunteer Fire Department has two fire stations, located in Fairfax County, Va. The Virginia Department of Charitable Gaming presented Annandale Volunteer Fire Department BINGO a 2000 Award of Excellence in 2001. The fire department provides a fleet of 13 vehicles to the community. These include four fire pumpers, five basic and advanced life support units, one chief's vehicle, two four-wheel drive utility vehicles, and one firefighter canteen unit. Annandale Volunteer Fire Department has a social hall that is available for wedding receptions, fund-raisers, banquets, business meetings, luncheons, reunions and various functions.
