The Body Image Therapy Center (TBITC) is Maryland and D.C.'s premier outpatient treatment center offering comprehensive and compassionate care for those with eating disorders, and co-occurring disorders like self-harm behaviors or other destructive habits. We'll help you learn to accept your body and learn to love yourself from the inside out. We follow accepted best practices for treating anorexia, bulimia, binge eating and other disorders, while avoiding formulaic approaches. Instead, we develop a personalized approach for each client that is based on your specific needs and that seeks to treat you as a whole person. Where appropriate, we incorporate other proven approaches, such as psychodrama, hypnotherapy, art therapy, mindfulness training, nutrition counseling and other experiential modalities, to facilitate your recovery.
