Located between the two historic cities of Staunton and Lexington and at the base of Little North Mountain, 7 acres of estate grown grapes provide at true sense of Shenandoah Valley's terroir. Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Riesling, Merlot, and Petit Verdot are grown at an elevation of 2100 feet. Above Ground Winery is dedicated to delivering unpretentious wines and excellent hospitality. Our current offerings are: Chardonnay (stainless steel) Dividing Ridge White (apple wine) Karma (Cabernet Franc/Merlot blend) Wild River Red (elderberry wine) Dividing Ridge Red (raspberry wine) Future release: Dividing Ridge Blue (plum wine) Tasting Fee: $10 Wine by the glass: $8 We are a 21+ venue. No pets allowed on property.

Lovely staff and great tasting wine! If you walk up to the vineyard area, the views are stunning! Definitely worth a trip while in the Staunton/Waynesboro area.

We came to Above Ground Winery to celebrate a birthday! The wine was very tasty!! The owner was wonderful. She was very personable and friendly!! We will return and buy some more great wines!...
