Waite Environmental Management Waite Environmental Management, LLC ( WEM ) is an environmental consulting firm based in Burlington, Vermont. Miles E. Waite, PhD, the company president and principal hydrogeologist, has seventeen years experience working in the fields of environmental service and research. Miles Waite has operated as an independent consultant with WEM since March 2003, and worked for five years prior for two successful consulting firms in the Burlington area. In addition to a scientific background in hydrogeology, Miles Waite, PhD, is a Vermont licensed wastewater system designer ( type B ), is certified for the design and operation of potable water supply systems, is a licensed professional geologist, and has professional development in disciplines ranging from soil identification to indoor vapor migration. WEM provides consulting and hydrogeological services to engineers, municipalities, lending institutions, law firms, realty agencies, residential and commercial property owners, and general industry throughout Vermont and eastern New York. WEM takes pride in having the ability to suit a wide range of environmental needs, from permitting a subdivision for a residential property owner, to conducting a Brownfield site assessment for a municipality.
