UVM Health Network - Porter Medical Center

Construction of the Porter Medical Center began in 1922 from the generous funding of Mr. William Porter. The hospital is a nonprofit health care system located in Middlebury, Vermont. Porter Medical Center and its subsidiary corporations are organized for the primary purpose of providing medical and long-term care services for residents of a broad service area encompassing Addison county, northern Rutland county, northeastern New York, students and staff of Middlebury College and visitors to the area. A 45-bed community hospital, the hospital offers comprehensive medical care and 24-hour emergency services. Services available include: anesthesiology, cardiology, emergency medicine, family medicine, general surgery, internal medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, orthopedic surgery, otolaryngology, pathology, pediatrics, podiatry, psychiatry, radiology and urology.
