Coffee People is a branch division of Diedrich Coffee. Diedrich Coffee is a specialty coffee roaster, wholesaler, retailer and franchiser operating in the United States. The company s brands include Diedrich Coffee, Gloria Jean's and Coffee People. It sells brewed, espresso-based and various blended beverages primarily made from its own roasted coffee beans, as well as light food items, whole bean coffee and accessories, through company-operated and franchised retail locations. During the fiscal year ended June 29, 2005, Diedrich Coffee owned and operated more than 60 retail locations and franchised nearly 140 other retail locations, all of which were located in nearly 35 states. The company sells whole bean and ground coffee on a wholesale basis through a network of distributors in the office coffee service market and to other wholesale customers, such as restaurant chains and other retailers. It also operates a coffee roasting facility in central California that supplies roasted coffee beans. Coffee People is located in Irvine, Calif.
