The Dog Blog

History

I started my journey as a small sports and event photographer living in the U.S Virgin Islands. I've always had a passion for photography and technology, but also for my community and my family. I grew up as a dog person, when I was a child my mother used to breed show-boxers. As an adult I moved to the U.S Virgin Islands with my pitbull, Blossom in search of adventure and warmer weather. Category 5 hurricanes Irma and Maria were truly devastating to our home in the fall of 2017, and we were forced to relocate state-side. After moving to Burlington, I founded The Dog Blog, an online presence dedicated to the welfare of canines. We work in cooperation with local businesses and with major publications to host a variety of fundraising pet photography exhibits around the east coast, proceeds from which help benefit local rescues and foster dogs!

Joshua Dustin is a Professional Pet Photographer from the U.S Virgin Islands. Currently located in Burlington, Vermont, he combines his knowledge of canine behavior and training with a passion for technical photography. Joshua is the founder of The Dog Blog, an online presence dedicated to canine welfare. The organization hosts fundraising exhibits on the East Coast to help raise money for animals in need. 15% of all private photo shoot proceeds are given to rescues in YOUR area.
