Springfield Hospital

Springfield Hospital is a nonprofit community hospital, and a subsidiary of Springfield Medical Care Systems, serving more than 15 communities in southeastern Vermont and southwestern New Hampshire. It offers various services, including inpatient and outpatient care, 24-hour emergency and adult day care and specialty clinics. The hospital provides a full range of health care services and facilities, such as adult and child day care services; alternative therapies; cardiology; a childbirth center; dermatology; internal medicine; mental health; ear, nose and throat services; neurology; oncology; orthopedics; psychiatry; physical therapy; urology; and perioperative services. Springfield Hospital is approved by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. The hospital also provides counseling services for anxiety disorders, depression and personality and posttraumatic stress disorder, psychotic disorders and substance use. Located in Springfield, it also has health care centers in Ludlow and Bellows Falls, Vt.
