Jason Heffley, MD is a gastroenterologist at the University of Vermont Medical Center, as well as an assistant professor of medicine at the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont. Dr. Heffley believes that everyone has a unique story, so he strives to gain a deep understanding of each patient’s individual needs in order to provide the best care possible. His goal is to make his patients feel safe and welcome, help them access the testing or treatment they need, and allow them to leave with more knowledge than they arrived with – whether they meet in the clinic or the endoscopy suite. Dr. Heffley performs a variety of specialized procedures, including ERCP, endoscopic ultrasound, colonoscopy, upper endoscopy (EGD) and endoscopic mucosal resection. The Baird School, located in Burlington, Vt., is an alternative education institute that provides academic programs for children in grades one through eight. It offers a range of services, such as intensive special education, therapeutic behavioral intervention and treatment, psychiatric and psychological consultation, social skills training and family work services. The school also offers a range of substance abuse and mental health services for teenagers and their families. The Baird School is part of HowardCenter, which provides a variety of services for underprivileged children, youths and families. It also provides a range of developmental and mental health and substance abuse services.
