Highlander Bicycle, formerly a well-established bike shop in Bennington, VT, has transitioned its focus to specialize in repairs, fittings, custom bikes, and special orders of bikes and parts. With over 20 years of operation, the shop has been an active member of the local cycling community, offering group rides and participating in various events.
In June 2022, Highlander Bicycle closed its doors to pave the way for a new non-profit bike shop called the Bike Hub, aimed at building a stronger cycling community in the greater Bennington area. The founder, Peter Hall, hopes this new venture will continue to support and enhance the cycling culture in the region.
