History
Heather (she/her) graduated from Pratt Institute in 2007 and is currently based out of Austin, TX (since 2011). Her work has been published, exhibited and commissioned worldwide. She has been voted Best Family & top 3 Birth Photographer in Austin in 2017, 2018 & 2019. Since 2011, she has attended over 150 births as a documentary photographer and in 2019 became a birth and death doula.
Specialties
Heather specializes in intimate portraiture and documentation of major life transitions and events including (but not limited to) maternity, birth, the postpartum period, weddings, birthdays, graduations and death. She is also a full spectrum doula, providing emotional and practical support for individuals and families going through birth, postpartum, abortion, miscarriage, gender affirming therapy/surgery and death. Heather is Chinese American and a CODA (Child of Deaf Adult) fluent in ASL.
