Hand Built Market

History

Hand Built Market started when a group of local makers and artists rented an empty storefront one weekend before Christmas in 2017. It was so popular that by 2020 it had grown to the large bustling Brattleboro Flea you'll still find on the first Friday of the month that covers half of Harmony Parking lot. Hand Built Market's founder, KariLyn, started as an artist at those events and worked as an assistant to the organizer. When the opportunity presented itself to open a year round, indoor art market they couldn't help but jump at the chance to show off all of Vermont's (and our neighboring states') local talent in the beautiful unique space that is River Garden Marketplace.

Local art is our passion! Maybe it's the long winters but the talent hidden in these hills is truly astonishing. We here at Hand Built Market love nothing more than getting really excited about what our neighbors are making and sharing that with you.
