Wonderful hidden gem, great history, yummy sandwiches, and a kind and generous owner. It is just what anyone would want in the character in a small town corner store.

History
The building has been a General Store/Post Office since the mid 1860's. I bought the store/building in 2014.
Specialties
The East Poultney General Store has a little bit of everything. A full deli with yummy sandwiches and daily hot specials and lots of salads during the warmer months. We make our own fresh chicken, pork and turkey sausages...delicious! We are a Vermont Liquor Outlet and also sell various beers and wines. A favorite of many is a wedge/pound of cheese from the wheel of Cabot Extra Sharp Cheddar. Additional services include selling hunting & fishing licenses, selling animal grain/food, green mountain coffee, and course local maple syrup and honey.
