History

The Clear River Inn and Tavern have been favorites among locals and visitors alike for a while now. At the inn, you'll find newly renovated rooms and comfy lodging. At the tavern, you'll find local Vermont beer, hearty pub fare, and live music. At both, you'll find the warm service we've been offering our guests since day one. As we like to say: When you're here, you're in the clear.

Specialties

Over the years, our family's been involved with the Clear River Inn & Tavern in different ways. Mark Stugart's dad bought the place in 1989, bringing Mark's uncle with him. There have been a few waves of management, but since 2015, we've been back to making the inn and the tavern the amazing places they were meant to be. We've renovated our rooms and suites to make your next stay even more enjoyable, combining a modern atmosphere with comfy decor. And we're only a 10-minute drive from the mountain, so you don't have to go far for great rest after a long day of exploring. When you're here, you're in the clear from the moment you set down your bags.
