Dr. John Lawlis is an orthopedic surgeon at the University of Vermont Medical Center in South Burlington, VT and assistant professor at Larner College of Medicine at UVM. He treats patients with complex shoulder and knee disorders and specializes in shoulder arthroscopy, knee arthroscopy and total joint arthroplasty of the shoulder and knee, a procedure that involves replacing a damaged joint with a metal, plastic or ceramic device designed to replicate the movement of a normal, healthy joint.Dr. Lawlis enjoys getting to know his patients and watching them get their pain relieved and their lifestyles and function back.
