The mission of the KidSafe Collaborative is to engage agencies, community groups and individuals to work together to improve our community's response to child abuse and neglect. The KidSafe Collaborative strengthens services and fosters cross-system collaboration among human services agencies and the criminal justice system to improve results for child victims of abuse and neglect and their families. KidSafe Collaborative works to improve the safety and well-being of children in Chittenden County by enhancing collaboration among more than 25 partners involved in community child protection and safety. The goals of the KidSafe Collaborative are two-fold: During our last fiscal year ending this past March, KidSafe directly supported over 350 children and families in Vermont and indirectly helped hundreds more through work with our partners. The key element to which we attribute our success has been our ability to establish a community expectation that cross-systems collaboration is the best way to address child abuse and neglect and to serve families. Kingdom Recovery Center is a vital resource in Saint Johnsbury, VT, providing free peer-delivered support and programs for individuals seeking and maintaining recovery from alcoholism and substance misuse disorder. They offer a safe and substance-free environment, along with peer support, skill building, recreation, wellness education, and employment readiness. The Center also assists the community in accessing addiction treatment, providing information, education, and guidance on complex insurance and treatment issues. With the support of state and regional grants, as well as contributions from the community and private donations, Kingdom Recovery Center plays a crucial role in helping individuals and families through peer-led recovery support groups, family coaching, life skills training, and access to community resources.Generated from the website
