Visiting Nurse Association is a 104-year-old home health agency caring for people of all ages groups. Based in Colchester, Vt., the health agency offers services to groups, including from critically ill children to vulnerable families to adults who need rehabilitation, long-term care, adult day services or end-of-life care, to name a few. Visiting Nurse Association provides medically- necessary home and community-based care to individuals and families regardless of their ability to pay. The health agency serves over 5,000 individuals and families each year. It serves in various counties, such as Alburgh, Grand Isle, North Hero, Westford, Bolton, Hinesburg, Richmond and Williston, among others.

The mission of the KidSafe Collaborative is to engage agencies, community groups and individuals to work together to improve our community's response to child abuse and neglect. The KidSafe Collaborative strengthens services and fosters cross-system collaboration among human services agencies and the criminal justice system to improve results for child victims of abuse and neglect and their families. KidSafe Collaborative works to improve the safety and well-being of children in Chittenden County by enhancing collaboration among more than 25 partners involved in community child protection and safety. The goals of the KidSafe Collaborative are two-fold: During our last fiscal year ending this past March, KidSafe directly supported over 350 children and families in Vermont and indirectly helped hundreds more through work with our partners. The key element to which we attribute our success has been our ability to establish a community expectation that cross-systems collaboration is the best way to address child abuse and neglect and to serve families. Kingdom Recovery Center is a vital resource in Saint Johnsbury, VT, providing free peer-delivered support and programs for individuals seeking and maintaining recovery from alcoholism and substance misuse disorder. They offer a safe and substance-free environment, along with peer support, skill building, recreation, wellness education, and employment readiness. The Center also assists the community in accessing addiction treatment, providing information, education, and guidance on complex insurance and treatment issues.
