The Aldrich Public Library is the public library serving the city of Barre, Vermont. It is located at 6 Washington Street in an architecturally distinguished Classical Revival building constructed in 1907-08 with funds bequeathed by Leonard Frost Aldrich, a local businessman, and was substantially enlarged in 2000. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016. The Aldrich Public Library features cutting-edge collections, local history and Vermont-related collections as well as a plethora of programs and events for children, teens, and adults.

So far I've gone to 2 events here: a monthly movie night with an independent film and a poetry slam. The movie night was with free popcorn and film on the life of James Baldwin which I was dying...
