Wiggins and Co., P.C. br br Wiggins and Co., PC was formed when three sole proprietors and local firms were joined in the mid 1960's. The first of the three sole proprietors was Theron Lee. Theron Lee was the first CPA in Brigham City and started his practice in 1941. In 1958, the second of the original three firms was formed in Brigham City by Fred Baugh. Fred Baugh had been working in Washington for a large regional firm before moving back to Brigham City to open his own accounting partnership. Fred Baugh started the partnership with John Clay and Blaine Hancey with offices in Brigham City and Logan. The firm was known as Clay, Hancey, and Baugh, CPA's until 1963. However in 1963, Thiokol began making massive employment cutbacks. As a result, Brigham City began experiencing severe economic problems. Because of the economic problems in Brigham City, Clay and Hancey wanted to close the Brigham City office. However, Fred Baugh refused to close the office and terminated the partnership. After working for a local firm in Ogden for a couple of years, Keith Wiggins formed the third piece of the original firm in 1960. Subsequent to 1964, Keith Wiggins and his partner Duane Taylor merged their practice with Theron Lee and Fred Baugh. In 1971, Theron Lee retired and the partnership continued as Wiggins, Taylor, and Baugh.In 1990, Wiggins and Co. merged with Goff and Schouten in Salt Lake City. The firm now has offices in Salt Lake City, Brigham City, and Ogden with five active owners.We believe in the value of relationships.
