The Ute Indian Tribe started construction on the Ute Lanes in Fort Duchesne, Utah, on June 4, 1976. The facility was dedicated to the youth of the Uintah & Ouray Reservation. At the time the our tribal leaders and builders were; Lester Chapoose, Sr., Chairman; Myron Accuttoroop, Vice-Chairman; Elwyn L. DuShane, Member; Charles Redfoot, Member. Staff Assistants; Irene C. Cuch, Administrative Officer; Clifford H. Duncan, Tribal Planner; Dennis A. Mower, Resources Director, Markham and Markham, Architects and Engineers; Johnson Contracting Corporation, General Contractor. In 2012, the Ute Lanes facility was remodeled and enlarged to bring it up to date. In addition to refurbishing the 12 existing lanes, the Ute Lanes and Family Fun Center now boasts a family style restaurant, arcade for kids, & multi-purpose conference rooms. Instead of being a bowling facility, it has become more of a family entertainment, community center, & conference/event center (complete with catering services)

Grill closes at 8pm. But usually the staff closes around 7.35 so you will be lucky to be served anything off the menu. Unusual for a business to act in such a manner.
