USANA Health Sciences is a science-based company that develops, manufactures and markets nutritional, personal care and weight management products. Microbiologist and immunologist Dr. Myron Wentz established the company in 1992 to create products that provide antioxidant protection and overall cellular nutrition for the body. The primary focus of the company is to develop and market nutritional products to help prevent degenerative disease and promote optimal health. The first products were manufactured and distributed under the name USANA, which derives from Greek and Latin meaning true health. In 2002, USANA received two patents for extracting Olivol, which is a potent olive fruit extract. USANA products are sold directly to preferred customers and associates in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore and Mexico. USANA Health Sciences is headquartered in Salt Lake City.
