Estelle S. Harris, MD is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Utah Health Science Center. As a Pulmonary and Critical Care physician, her clinical interests include general pulmonary consultation, acute lung injury, non-invasive ventilation, neuromuscular abnormalities and diaphragm muscle dysfunction. Dr. Harris received her MD from the University of Colorado. She received training in Internal Medicine at Boston City Hospital, Boston University, and her Pulmonary and Critical Care training from the University of Michigan. Dr. Harris is the Medical Director of the University of Utah medical intensive care unit (ICU) and the Huntsman Cancer Hospital ICU/intermediate care unit. She is also the pulmonary consultant for the neuromuscular clinics at Neurosciences Center and the NeuRx Diaphragm Stimulator Program. She is currently a member of the American Thoracic Society, The American College of Chest Physicians and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.

Dr. Miklos Z. Molnar is a Professor of Medicine and the Medical Director of the Kidney and Pancreas Transplantation Programs and Living Donor Transplantation Program at the University of Utah Hospital and Clinics and the Director of the Kidney Clinics. Dr. Molnar obtained his M. D. and Ph. D. from Semmelweis University, Budapest, Hungary. He completed his residency and fellowship in Europe then immigrated to USA in 2010. His primary clinical interests involve all aspects of kidney transplantation including candidate evaluation for recipients and living donors, processes of care around organ procurement and quality assessment, and perioperative as well as long-term care of recipients and their donors. In addition, Dr. Molnar’s clinical interests include the medical evaluation and care of pancreas transplant recipients as well as the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of various native kidney diseases and acute kidney injury. Dr. Molnar’s primary research interests involve outcome research in kidney transplant recipients. Dr. Molnar is active in clinical research and frequently gives talks in national and international meetings. Dr. Molnar is a primary, senior author or co-author of more than 300 articles in the field of nephrology and transplant medicine. He serves as an Editorial board member for several journals. Quang-Tuyen Nguyen

Dr. Quang-Tuyen T. Nguyen is an associate professor in the Division of General Pediatrics and the Vice-Chair for Health Equity, Respect, and Opportunity (HERO) in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah serving the larger community of the intermountain west through the University of Utah and Primary Children’s Intermountain Medical Center. Dr. Nguyen also is the freshly appointed District 8 EDI Champion and hopes to serve by better connecting the state chapters over this wide region to leverage individual expertise and build community. Dr. Nguyen’s research, advocacy, and education interests focus on early childhood experiences, working with under-resourced families and supporting family units using frameworks of relational health and preventative care. Her mission is to empowering patients to be seen and cared for in a humanistic health system that can ensure resilience, family and community cohesion, and medical service that is individually appropriate and relevant. She believes that families who are least resourced are the ones most at risk of longer term behavioral and physical health issues across their lifespan. Within her academic community, Dr. Nguyen has had a heavy focus on education, working with medical students and trainees. Education efforts have included workshops and trainings on bias, course facilitation on difficult themes such as racism and discrimination, parity, error, and justice in medicine as well as advocacy efforts in everyday practice. In clinical practice she is a general pediatrician focusing on children and families with special needs and disabilities.
