Sarah J. Eyberg

Anwar Tandar, M.D., is a Professor of Medicine with an appointment in the Cardiology Division at the University of Utah. He has been on faculty at the University of Utah since 2011and is the Co-Director of the Valve Clinic Program and the TAVR Program. Dr. Tandar cares for patients at the University of Utah Hospital and Memorial Hospital in Rock Springs. He received his medical degree from Sriwijaya University in Indonesia in 1994. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the Universtiy of Massachusetts ( Worcester ) in 2000 and his General Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Utah in 2006. He then completed his Inteventional Cardiology Fellowship at the Universtiy of Utah in 2007. Dr. Tandar held a faculty appointment in Interventional Cardiology at SUNY-Buffalo before returning to the University of Utah. Dr. Tandar is actively involved in clinical research aimed at implementing innovative practices while maintaining the highest level of patient care.

Dr. Alt’s clinical practice is focused on sinus and nasal diseases including management of acute and chronic sinusitis, polyps, allergy, septal deviation, growths and tumors of the sinuses and skull base, and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks. Dr. Alt works with a large multi-disciplinary team that consists of neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, head and neck pathologists, and specialized otolaryngology (ENT) cancer surgeons to ensure the best treatment outcomes. In addition to his clinical practice, he is actively involved in research and is a co-investigator on a multi-institutional grant from the National Institutes of Health to study treatment outcomes for sinus disease. He is also interested in examining the relationship between the immune system’s inflammatory markers and chronic sinusitis-specific disease severity; thereby further elucidating how microscopic aspects of disease relate to macroscopic clinical measures. He currently serves as a faculty member in Head and Neck Surgery and is the Associate Director of the Rhinology-Sinus and Skull Base Surgery Program at the University of Utah.

Allison Shinouskis, MD initially grew up in the metro Detroit area in southeastern Michigan. She went to Michigan State University for undergraduate and graduated in 2018 with a bachelors in genomics and molecular genetics. She then attended medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit, where she met her Fiancé Mark, and graduated in 2022. They couples matched together at University of Utah, Ally in pediatrics and Mark in neurology. She enjoys seeing children of all ages in clinic and loves having continuity of care with her families. Outside of work, she spends most of her free time seeking out live music all over the Salt Lake Valley.
