Robert Teixeira, MD is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon at University of Utah Health who specializes in the hand and upper extremity. His clinical interests include peripheral nerve surgery, spinal cord injury upper extremity reconstruction, hand and wrist injuries, pediatric hand surgery, and microsurgical free tissue transfer. He completed an integrated plastic surgery residency at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and a Hand, Nerve, and Microsurgery Fellowship with the Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Washington University in St Louis. In his free time, Dr. Teixeira loves the outdoors, hiking, skiing, moutain biking, music, cooking, and trying new foods.

Dr. Jeremy Meier is the Chief of Pediatric Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery for University of Utah Health and Primary Children's Hospital. His clinical practice encompasses all areas of complicated ENT problems in children. Dr. Meier thrives on managing children with complex airway and breathing problems and craniofacial disorders. He enjoys treating children with genetic syndromes and is grateful for the relationships with his patients and parents. Dr. Meier’s clinical practice is centered at Primary Children’s Hospital. He also sees patients at the outpatient clinic in Lehi. He has clinical interests and special expertise in laryngotracheal reconstruction, airway and swallowing problems, children with syndromes such as achondroplasia and Down syndrome, sinus disorders, congenital neck masses, facial trauma, and cleft lip and palate. Dr. Meier grew up in Salt Lake City. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Brigham Young University, and graduated summa cum laude from St. Louis University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of California Davis Medical Center. Following residency, Dr. Meier completed a fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology at the Medical University of South Carolina. Here, he gained expertise in all areas of pediatric otolaryngology and congenital disorders of the head and neck. As a faculty member at the University of Utah School of Medicine, an integral portion of Dr. Meier's work is training the next generation of physicians and surgeons. Dr. Meier was awarded the Leland P. Johnson Teaching Award by the Otolaryngology Residency Program in 2016. His research focuses on improving value for common pediatric otolaryngology conditions so that we can make healthcare better and safer at lower costs, and he is currently funded through the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). Improving health for the underserved population, both locally and internationally, is important to Dr. Meier. He currently volunteers at the Maliheh Clinic in Salt Lake City and travels annually to Cape Coast, Ghana where he helps train a local surgeon to improve otolaryngology care in Ghana. When he is not working he spends time with his wife and three children boating, enjoying the outdoors, or playing sports.
