Always we stop at REI at the beginning of our backpacking trip because we need fuel and freeze dried foods. I also got sun hoodies. Good selection of stuff here. Staff was helpful and friendly.

REI Salt Lake City outfits you for everything you need to hit the slopes. The Sandy store employees were helpful too--they just didn't carry any stock for purchase. The SLC shop is full service....

I'm a long time REI member and I was surprised to find that REI Millcreek doesn't allow dogs in the store. Rather they provide a place to "tie" your dog to a metal ring in the concrete outside...
