Raoul D. Nelson

Dr.Kunkel received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, and completed his internal medicine residency and rheumatology fellowships at the University of Utah. Dr. Kunkel joined the faculty in 2004 in the Division of Rheumatology and is currently an associate professor of medicine. He is seeing patients at both the University Hospital and VA Medical Center, and has a clinical and research interest in the causes of, detection of (in particular with the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound), and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and gout. Dr.Kunkel has published several articles in the peer reviewed medical literature, and is a member of the American College of Rheumatology and the Ultrasound School of North American Rheumatologists.

Tuan Pham is currently a Assistant Professor in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition. He pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin, where he obtained both a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biochemistry and Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Microbiology in 2001. He went on to obtain his MD from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2008. Afterwards, he spent several years at the Baylor College of Medicine completing a residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Transplant Hepatology, as well as serving on faculty as a Hospitalist...

Rebecca S. Overbury is an Associate Professor at the University of Utah where she has been a faculty member since 2018. She has dual appointments through the Department of Medicine, Division of Rheumatology; and the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Rheumatology. Rebecca completed her fellowship training in Rheumatology at the University of Utah in 2018. Her residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics was completed at the University of Utah from 2012-2016. She attended medical school at the University of Tennessee from 2008-2012. Prior to her medical career, she completed her Bachelor of Arts, Summa Cum Laude, in Anthropology and French Language at the University of Tennessee and her Master of Science, Magna Cum Laude, in Biologic and Forensic Anthropology from Mercyhurst University. She is certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners, American Board of Internal Medicine, American Board of Pediatrics, and the American Board of Internal Medicine Rheumatology Board. She is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the American College of Rheumatology. Rebecca has research interests in health care transition in adolescent and young adult patients with childhood and adolescent onset Rheumatic diseases. She runs the Adult Center for Childhood Onset Rheumatic Diseases at the University of Utah.
