Landmark Design is a small woman-owned business. We currently employ two certified planners, four registered landscape architects, and support personnel. We specialize in regional and historic landscape design, urban design, collaboration with artists and architects, multi-disciplinary team planning and project management, and public involvement and facilitation. Our "Art Moderne" style building was constructed of concrete in 1937 for Arnold L. and Esther Magdiel. Arnold was a firefighter for the Salt Lake City Fire Department who wanted a "fire-proof" house. Esther ran a home business, "Esther's Beauty Parlor" for a time. The Magdiel family owned the building until it was purchased by Landmark Design in 1997. Our office gardens and grounds represent our personal commitment to drought-tolerant, regionally appropriate landscape design.
