History

Informal tax services began as early as 1986 by first preparing tax returns among family and friends. Due to a conflict-of-interest at the time, employed by the Utah State Tax Commission, compensated services were not allowed from 1990 to 1998. Having left State government shortly after earning an MBA degree, entered the private sector and officially accepted compensation for services rendered under Qualitax. . Noting a lack of tax-ready documents and record keeping, offered bookkeeping services to existing clientele under Rocky Mountain Bookkeeping and Qualitax. Based on word-of-mouth advertising, the Company has experienced steady growth under its current name Keown and Company.
