John D. Morris

Dr. Bartley Pickron is a recognized expert in the minimally invasive treatment of colon and rectal cancer, diverticulitis, and inflammatory bowel disease. He is a Professor of Surgery at the University of Utah who specializes in colon and rectal surgery. Clinical interests include single site laparoscopic and robotic surgery as well as the implementation of enhanced recovery protocols to minimize pain and recovery following surgery. Following medical school at the University of South Alabama, Dr. Pickron completed his General Surgery training at Atlanta Medical Center. He then completed a fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at the University of Southern California and Norris Cancer Center. Dr. Pickron joined the University of Utah Health Care following 10 years of practice in the Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas. Dr. Pickron enjoys time outdoors particularly hiking, running, and cycling. He is an avid soccer fan. He lives in Salt Lake City with his wife and two children. Dr. Pickron is practicing at the Huntsman Cancer Institute and University Hospital.

Christopher Ko, M.D., MA, is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City. Dr. Ko received his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Southern California/LAC+USC. Dr. Ko continued on to complete his Gastrointestinal fellowship at the University of Southern California/LAC+USC where he served as Chief GI Fellow during the last year of his Fellowship.
