After 20 years away and journeys all over the world, I've found nothing more compelling than a Carbon County sunset. Its only rival being a castle valley rain storm that sweeps across the plateaus in colossal curtains of water. I returned home to be nearer to my family and closer to this landscape as I consider nature to be a medication of its own. Kaizen Academy is about restoring & protecting sexual health and safety, and providing deeply needed hope and healing. Leading this cause, we provide intensive and comprehensive residential treatment for teenage boys who are struggling with inappropriate sexual behaviors. We recognize the impact of these issues on the entire family, and offer proven therapy, listening ears, moral support, and healthy strategies in our parent work, family therapy, and throughout the entire treatment process. Most sexual behavior problems are strongly related to – perhaps symptomatic of – a variety of emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges that these young men are struggling with. Depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, attachment difficulties, feelings of low self-worth, social problems, executive function deficits, processing issues, Autism Spectrum Disorder – these are all common issues that, when coupled with concerning sexual obsessions or behavior, make a young man a good candidate for specialized residential treatment at Kaizen.

Central Utah Counseling Center (CUCC) is dedicated to providing competent and compassionate behavioral healthcare to individuals and communities across six central Utah counties, including Juab, Millard, Piute, Sanpete, Sevier, and Wayne.
