The Family History Library is located in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah. While not a great place for families with small children, the library is a must-see for anybody interested in genealogy. There is no other destination in the world where you can find out more than you ever knew about your family history.Parking and public transportation at the Family History LibraryParking can be a bit troublesome during rush hour traffic; however, while street parking is available, the best place to park is either underneath the City Creek Center mall on South Temple Street or in the garage underneath the LDS Conference Center on the north side of Historic Temple Square.Best and worst time to go to the Family History LibraryWhile the library itself is well-equipped to handle a large number of visitors, the surrounding streets can be stressful to manage during normal rush hour, usually between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. It's best to avoid the library then.Admission to the Family History LibraryIt does not cost anything to enter the library or use any of its services.
