Dorota Lebiedz-Odrobina, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Rheumatology, Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Utah and the Rheumatology Fellowship Program Director. Jeremy J. Biggs, MD, MSPH, FACOEM is an Associate Professor and board-certified occupational medicine physician. He currently serves as the Division Chair of the independent Occupational and Environmental Health Division (OEH) at the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine, where the Division operates independently. Dr. Biggs is also the Medical Director for both the Hospital Work Wellness Clinic and the RedMed Employee Health Clinic. Additionally, he serves as the Medical Director of Occupational Medicine for the University of Utah’s Environmental Health and Safety Office. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Biggs played a key role in coordinating a response to protect employees amidst the PPE shortage. Dr. Biggs specializes in firefighter and police officer health and safety, aerosolized disease prevention, and OSHA/MSHA-mandated physical examinations (commonly referred to as hazmat exams). He earned his medical degree from the University of Utah in 2006, where he was inducted as a junior member of Alpha Omega Alpha and received the Dean’s Award. He completed his residency in occupational medicine at the University of Utah. His research interests include PPE and infectious disease prevention, lab worker health and safety, firefighter and police officer health and wellness, the development of personal protective equipment and devices to protect workers from aerosol exposure, musculoskeletal disorders, and corporate wellness and medical management.
