Department of Neuroscience

The mission of the Brigham Young University Department of Nutrition, Dietetics, and Food Science is to educate students and advance truth and knowledge in the disciplines of nutritional science, dietetics, and food science, thus preparing individuals to make meaningful contributions to their respective professions and to be informed and productive citizens of their family, community, and nation.

The College of Computational, Mathematical, and Physical Sciences at Brigham Young University houses seven departments: Chemistry & Biochemistry, Computer Science, Geological Sciences, Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Physics & Astronomy, and Statistics. Together we work toward achieving our two-fold mission: To provide the environment, the mentors, the tools, and the experiences in fundamental science and mathematics that students all across campus need in order to contribute in their various fields and become lifelong learners To investigate, understand, and appreciate the beauty and complexity of the universe while enhancing reverence for its Creator

Boasting 167,000 square feet of floor space, this center was the largest academic building in the Mountain West and BYU's first to have an elevator. When the building was renovated from 1995 through 1997, it was completely gutted and its steep lecture halls removed. The building houses the Physics and Astronomy; Geology; and Nutrition, Dietetics, and Food Science Departments, as well as the Pendulum Court restaurant. There are many hands-on physics demonstrations throughout the hallways and lobbies and a 16-inch telescope in the Orson Pratt Observatory.
