Dana M. Boucek

Rebecca S. Overbury is an Associate Professor at the University of Utah where she has been a faculty member since 2018. She has dual appointments through the Department of Medicine, Division of Rheumatology; and the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Rheumatology. Rebecca completed her fellowship training in Rheumatology at the University of Utah in 2018. Her residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics was completed at the University of Utah from 2012-2016. She attended medical school at the University of Tennessee from 2008-2012. Prior to her medical career, she completed her Bachelor of Arts, Summa Cum Laude, in Anthropology and French Language at the University of Tennessee and her Master of Science, Magna Cum Laude, in Biologic and Forensic Anthropology from Mercyhurst University. She is certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners, American Board of Internal Medicine, American Board of Pediatrics, and the American Board of Internal Medicine Rheumatology Board. She is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the American College of Rheumatology. Rebecca has research interests in health care transition in adolescent and young adult patients with childhood and adolescent onset Rheumatic diseases. She runs the Adult Center for Childhood Onset Rheumatic Diseases at the University of Utah.

Dr. Jaramillo received her medical degree from Universidad de los Andés, completed her Pediatric residency at Texas Tech University and her Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition Fellowship at the University of Utah / Primary Children’s Hospital. She then completed an Advanced Pediatric Transplant Hepatology Fellowship at the University of Colorado / Children’s Hospital Colorado. She is board-certified in Pediatrics, Pediatric Gastroenterology and Pediatric Transplant Hepatology. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Utah and is in the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Primary Children’s Hospital. Her primary clinical interests are in pediatric liver diseases including caring for children who need liver transplantation. She sees gastroenterology and hepatology patients at Eccles Primary Children’s Outpatient building. Dr. Jaramillo’s main research interest is in cholestatic liver disease in childhood with a current focus on studying the familiality, prevalence and natural history of Alagille Syndrome.

Dr. W. Daniel Jackson received his medical degree from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, completed his Pediatric residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, and his Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition Fellowship at Tufts-New England Medical Center and received additional training in the Clinical Nutrition Research Center at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He joined the Department of Pediatrics faculty of the School of Medicine in 1989. He is currently a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Primary Children´s Medical Center. He serves as the Medical Director of Nutrition Support Services at Primary Children’s Medical Center and directs the Follow-Up Nutrition Clinic. Other clinical commitments include the Inflammatory Bowel Disease clinic, development of an Aerodigestive clinic in collaboration with Otolaryngology and Pulmonary specialists and an Intestinal Adaptation Clinic collaborating with Pediatric Surgery and Nutrition.
