Breaking Barriers Therapy Services

Community Nursing Services is one of the oldest, nonprofit home health and hospice agencies in Utah. The center provides a wide range of Medicare and Medicaid-certified programs, and services tailored to the client's health care problems. Its Home Health Plus program serves infants, children, new mothers, and adults with home health needs, such as wound and anti-partum care, health fairs, home health aides, wellness and disease prevention, immunization, case management, occupational therapies, speech and physical therapy, emergency services, and rehabilitation therapy. It also offers Kaleidoscope Kids' program, a volunteer program that includes art therapists, music therapists, storytellers, clowns, party planners, and pastoral care. The center provides visiting nurse program that offers skilled nursing, diabetic and colostomy care, dressing changes, medication and disease management, pain and symptom control, nutritional counseling, and long-term care to senior citizens and the disabled who are insured through Medicare. It is located in Midvale, Utah.
