Dr. Rennert received his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and, during this training, spent three years in a stem cell laboratory at Stanford. Following graduation, Dr. Rennert began his Neurosurgical training at the University of California – San Diego. During his residency, Dr. Rennert performed an enfolded fellowship in skull base and cerebrovascular surgery at the University of Arkansas with Dr. JD Day, as well as a CAST-certified enfolded fellowship in endovascular neurosurgery at UCSD with Dr. Alexander Khalessi. After residency graduation, Dr. Rennert completed a CAST-certified fellowship in skull base and cerebrovascular surgery with Dr. William Couldwell at the University of Utah, followed by additional complex open cerebrovascular training with Dr. Jonathan Russin at the University of Southern California. In addition to this clinical training, Dr. Rennert has a passion for research and an outstanding list of publications focused on innovations and outcomes in skull base and vascular neurosurgery, neuro-anatomy, and translational stem cell therapies. Ben Shofty, MD/PhD is an Israeli-board certified functional neurosurgeon and a former Israeli national rugby player. He graduated from the Tel-Aviv University Faculty of Medicine, and received a PhD in systems neuroscience from the Israeli Institute of Technology. He completed his neurosurgical training at the Tel-Aviv Medical Center, followed by two years of combined research/clinical fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine. His practice will focus on neuromodulation for psychiatric disorders, surgical treatments for cancer pain, movement disorders and epilepsy. In his lab, he is investigating high-order cognition and network dependent functions such as creativity and mind wondering, as well as novel interventions for OCD, depression and PTSD. In addition, he is interested in advanced imaging and visual biopsies.

Dr. Randy Jensen specializes in Neurosurgery, Brain Tumors, Skull Base Surgery, Neuro Trauma and Neurocritical Care. He has a particular emphasis using preoperative imaging, intraoperative navigation, intraoperative cortical mapping and intraoperative MRI to maximize tumor resection and minimize surgical complications. He treats patients with malignant, benign, and metastatic brain tumors. He has many clinical trials for patients with brain tumors and has a laboratory effort examining brain tumor biology. He is also a member of the Brain Tumor Research Team at Huntsman Cancer Institute.
