The Avalon Hills Eating Disorder Treatment Program helps adolescents and young adult females overcome eating disorders. Avalon Hills tailors each resident s treatment program to meet individual needs, using both scientific and holistic treatment approaches. The facility provides a treatment program that includes individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy process groups, body image groups, spiritual growth groups, psycho-educational classes, nutrition sanity groups, compulsion management and skills building. Avalon hills also uses three forms of animal assisted therapy including animals in the therapy room, pet rescue and rehabilitation and equine therapy activities, to promote physical, emotional, cognitive, and social improvement for people with special needs.
