Dr. Libo Wang, M.D. has an appointment as Assistant Professor at University of Utah in the Department of Internal Medicine and Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, adjunct faculty at the University of Utah Department of Radiology. Dr. Wang earned his M.D. from Oregon Health & Science University in 2014, graduating with great honors. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Stanford University Medical Center in 2017. He then went on to complete his cardiology fellowship at the University of Utah in 2021. Dr Wang has a wide clinical practice in the care of heart disease, but has particular research interests include incorporating point of care ultrasound to better bedside cardiac care, management of heart failure, stabilizing chronic cardiovascular illness, and diagnostic workup of complex cardiac conditions. Dr Wang is an enthused physician educator and enjoys empowering medical students, residents, and fellows to become better clinicians; and has earned multiple clinical and teaching awards. Currently Dr Wang is a course instructor for the clinical methods curriculum course / doctoring course at the Medical School, passing on his passion for the bedside exam.

He is also actively involved in various committees in United Network of Organ Transplantation, the American Society of Nephrology and the National Kidney Foundation. He is also a board member of the American Foundation for Donation and Transplantation. Currently a Fellow of the American College of Physicians; Fellow of The American Society of Nephrology; Fellow of The National Kidney Foundation and Fellow of The American Society of Transplantation.
