The City of Corpus Christi Engineering Services Department provides a variety of services, such as construction inspection, material testing and certification and the auditing of public works construction contract. It administers the Residential Traffic Management Program (RTMP), which provides a process for identifying and addressing problems related to speeding and cut-through traffic on residential streets. The department develops plans and specifications, as well as prepares bid and contract documents for the city. In addition, the City of Corpus Christi Engineering Services Department offers plumbing system replacement and conductor installation services. Located in Corpus Christi, Texas, the department performs routine sewer, street and sidewalk inspections.

It is the mission of Rotary Club of Corpus Christi to create a meaningful fellowship of business and professional leaders who are dedicated to making a positive difference in their local, regional, national and international communities through service. Rotary Club of Corpus Christi The year 1914, when Rotary Club of Corpus Christi was organized, found the city with about 9, 000 people. Signs of progress were everywhere. It was in this atmosphere of progress that discussions were held about organizing a Rotary club in Corpus Christi. A committee had listed about 100 vocations being practiced in the city from which 40men were selected as likely prospective Rotarians. An informal luncheon was held June 16, 1914 at the Nueces Hotel at which time Mr. C. H. Jenkins, Secretary of the San Antonio Rotary Club, explained the objects of Rotary. It was on that day that Rotary Club of Corpus Christi was formed and officers were elected. There were thirty-six charter members. The first Board of Directors was: Rotary Club of Corpus Christi has always been a source of information on the city's economy, development, and the concerns of the citizens. Programs have included key issues such as the seawall, deep water port, oil and natural gas industry, Nueces Bay Causeway, Interstate 37, the harbor bridge, development of downtown and many others that have had a strong impact on Corpus Christi. Recent programs have focused on issues impacting the development of tourism and business of both uptown and downtown such as the American Bank Center, the areas problems and solutions, a proposed trolley, Rotary Club of Corpus Christi has exemplified Service Above Self by providing for the needs of others. Projects over the years have included establishing and supporting the Boy Scouts in Corpus Christi, providing a hearing aid for a young girl so she could attend school, urging the city to organize playground activities which was the beginning of the Park and Recreation Department, scholarships, and other humanitarian efforts. Rotary Club of Corpus Christi spread the precepts of Rotary through the area by sponsoring seven clubs; Robstown, Taft, Corpus Christi Southside, Aransas Pass, Corpus Christi West, and Corpus Christi Sunrise.
