The Wise County Historical Society Inc. is dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich history of Wise County, Texas. Despite the devastating loss of their museum building in March 2023, the organization continues its mission from a new location on Decatur Square, emphasizing community engagement and the importance of historical education.

Very fun little scary good for older ones but sad cause the building burned down so now no one can go back in the building. Very very sad.

Great museum 10/10 I had to leave a little early so I couldn't get a close look at everything so I definitely missed a few things I liked the local and Wild West history and the lost ballttailon...
